100 years of expertise

Aube Sofa has made a name for itself in the realm of home furnishings for 100 years (created in 1923). Thanks to its many years’ experience, the brand has developed and commercialized innovative products that combine mastered technology (mattresses equipped with pocket springs) and recognized performance.

Made in France

Aube Sofa’s manufacturing facility is currently based in one of the Group’s historic sites in Bar-sur-Aube with premises covering around 90,000 m². Aube Sofa is as such known for its high-volume manufacturing ability and its No Name product range.

Aube Sofa has made its mark as a leader on its market as it guarantees high French quality seating and sleeping comfort by equipping its products with Simmons® brand bedding.

A sound distribution network

Thanks to the great quality of its products and its high production line standards, Aube Sofa meets the needs of an extensive home-furnishings distribution network that totals some 500 points of sale in France (Conforama, But, La Halle au Sommeil, Alinea) and boasts widespread online coverage (Cdiscount, Ubaldi, Veepee).

1946

A traditional living-room/lounge set manufacturing factory is opened in a former mill in Bar-sur-Aube, in partnership with other families from the region

1970’s

In the 1970s, the company employed 5,600 people and was one of Europe’s leading sofa, chair and kitchen furniture manufacturers

1991

Cauval Group is created, merging with Dumeste to form a sound alliance

2000

Cauval becomes the number one furniture manufacturer in France

2013

The sofa business in Bar-sur-Aube comes to an end, but the company continues to produce convertible sofas equipped with mattresses from leading bedding brands such as Simmons® and Dunlopillo
